Welcome to 5,430 feet above sea level! While you’re here visiting Katy’s hometown you won’t be without plenty of things to do. Boulder is located at the base of the Rockies and offers an array of recreational and cultural activities.
While you’re here weather is likely to be cool to cold. Sunshine, snow, wind and rain are all likely…even in the same day, or hour! Weather tends to change quickly, so it’s wise to plan accordingly. For all you sea-level folk, playing at a mile above sea level can be a breath taking experience. Be sure to review the tips for adjusting to the altitude.

Eldora – Local, 20 minutes from Boulder, great for the beginner.

Breckenridge (Jon’s pick) – Awesome town, fun skiing for the whole family, great ski school.

Vail (Katy’s pick) – Very, very, very big…back bowls to die for, skiing you will never forget.

Keystone – Road less traveled, but still with 4 mile long runs.

A-Basin – Hard. Very hard. For the experienced. MUCH less crowded & less expensive.

Copper – Very popular, great terrain parks and many ways to get lost.

Winter Park/Mary Jane – Can you say, "No Pain No Jane" (i.e., moguls).
